No, the totally balanced engine is boxer engine. where
the two cylindar bank oppose each other. Thus reducing the vibration caused by piston movement.
L engine are the most imbalanced type of engine around. As both bank are vibrating towards same direction. Hence it is much more difficult to deal with NVH on large displacement L-type engine.
