I`m going to being this book with a little confession . I`ve never
really been all that interestedin racing --I just wanted to ride.Throughout
my racing career Iregarded the other riders on the track as mostly just a
nusance .Many times they got in the way of the observations I was making
about my riding ,about how I could improve my riding and how that
information could be presented to my students.I`ve always had just as much
fun riding along by myself in a race as I have competing with other riders.
My reasoning for this is simple---no matter how many other
riders are on the track, you must still rely on your own ability.The track
is the ever-present challenge -not other riders.This idea has been
strengthened over the years through my observation that the most successful
racers can go nearly as fast in practice as they do in the race .They
pressure of competition forcing them "go fast".
在撰寫這本書之前有一點要先聲明,那就是我從來就對競速比賽不感興趣,
我只是想要騎車而已!! 綜觀我的賽車生涯中,我把賽道上的其他車手
當作打擾我騎車的人而已,許多次學生們在觀察我的騎乘技巧,以及我怎麼
去改進我的騎乘技巧,我想要表達的訊息是:
[不管是自己在騎車或是跟別人比賽,我總是覺得一樣很有樂趣]
我的觀點很簡單--不管在賽道上有多少競爭對手,你必須信賴你的車以及你的技術!!
永遠要挑戰的是賽道,並不是那些車手!!
根據我這幾年對那些很成功的車手觀察..
他們利用他們所學到的知識與技術但心理面卻沒有那些"要更快"的壓力
也更加證明了我的觀點!!
Riding fast on a motorcycle is a tremendously exhilarating and
challenging game . This game has rules and brriers .There`s something to
win, something to lose , and a purose for each individual who plays the
game.It demands your attention . The consequences of a major mistake
can be severe-severe enough to make the game worth playing well.The
purpose of this book is to describe the technology and the rules of riding
fast so that every ride is a "win", so that you`ll approach the barriers
with confidence and understanding,and so you can further your purpose in
riding or racing,whatever it may be.
My overall approach to rider improvement is:To simplify the
action of riding by defining the basics, and by investigation the
decisions you must make to ride well.
機車賽車有一個非常令人興奮而且具有挑戰性的運動,這運動有許多規則還有障礙
在比賽中每個人都會得到或是失去一些東西跟目標,用心去了解失敗原因
可以讓你騎的更好!!
這本書的目的是在討論在科技還有規則下在每次的騎乘都能有收穫,還有利用本身的技術
還有知識以及信心來面對障礙 然後讓自己往更高的境界來挑戰!!
大體上來說:從基本上去簡化騎乘的動作,然後去研究自己每次的騎乘方法與動作,
讓自己下次能騎的更好!!!
