因為Bimota在電單車壇的地位，等同於林寶堅尼或馬莎拉蒂。這家由70年代冒起的意大利
家族式經營的車廠， 以人手裝嵌貴重電單車馳名於世。Ducati 916和MV Agusta F4的設
計師也是Bimota的創辦人之一，可見Bimota的江湖地位相當顯赫。

Bimota擅長設計及製作車架，引擎部份則取自其他車廠的成功作品。在2000年曾在
Philip Island賽道贏取過WSBK分站冠軍的Bimota SB8R，引擎便是取自Suzuki的TL1000R
。以往Bimota也曾採用過Kawasaki、Yamaha和Honda的引擎，但近年便喜用Ducati引擎。
