SUPER SPEED 9 ROLLERS VARIATORS: THAT BEATS EVERYTHING
Always engaged for the duty of "making the best even better", this time
Polini Motori has decidedly aimed high.
With the newest series of "Super Speed" variators for competitions,
transmissions' technology for the fastest maxiscooters now reaches the best
50cc models.
"Super Speed" is a name that perfectly fits to a variator that makes all the
other kits suddenly get older.
And it is sufficient to mount one of them following the detailed instructions
enclosed to the selling packaging for discovering this.
Nor even the laziest scooter will be the same, because "Super Speed" is a
real concentrate of technology, a sportsmanship injection able to change in
adrenalin each opening of the gas throttle.
The "best", "exaggerate", "matchless", all these adjectives perfectly express
the sensations that the new variator set up by the Polini Motori Research and
Development Branch can transmit.
For realising "Super Speed", Polini technicians inspired themselves directly
to the product tha! t represents the top technology: the "Maxi Speed Control"
group; the one for Yamaha T-Max, the sportiest maxiscooter on the market.
The solution destined to revolutionize transmissions for 50 cc. models is
substantially concentrated in the presence of nine rollers, and not six as
the base equipment of the usual variators on the market.
A 100% new and advanced technology that Polini Motori has already available
for three models of the most widespread scooters.
The presence of three more rollers ensures numerous advantages, starting from
a better reliability of the transmission.
Roller's wear is actually reduced of the 50% at least with evident advantages
for the rollers and for the whole variator group as well.
The choice of mounting rollers distributed on a wider surface also enables to
obtain a more equilibrate axial thrust of the variator, feature that turns
into considerable acceleration to all speeds.
Transferring the maxiscooter's technology on more compact models has !
imposed a careful replanning of the roller sliding surfaces that Polini Motori
technicians have successfully solved by obtaining solutions able to allow all
models the best possible range.
The new kit includes other high tech details starting from the half pulley
made of aluminium alloy with high percentage of silicon to the surface
treatment specific for improving the rollers sliding.
And what is more, the casehardened and tempered steel pin is chromed for
reducing frictions and offering a better smoothness.
Not only the number of rollers has changed but also their structure is new.
The nine elements present in the Polini "Super Speed" are part of a new
generation for their dimensions,weights and composition: reinforced
polymer, long tested on test bench and on tracks. Simultaneously to the
marketing of the four "Super Speed" groups, Polini Motori has started the
distribution of series of rollers with different weights for allowing the
adjustment of the transmission to t! he various pilots' exigencies and to
the features of the tracks.
Its set-up is really the easiest and the most intuitive.
